Volunteers and staff working together in a community centre.

Behind every food bank, every youth program, every crisis line — there are people who show up.

Social workers who stay late. Volunteers who come back every week. Program coordinators stretching budgets that were never big enough.

Across Windsor-Essex, hundreds of people wake up every day and do the unglamorous, underfunded work of holding a community together. They run the shelters. They teach the language classes. They answer the crisis calls.

They don't do it for attention. Most of them will never be thanked by name.

They shouldn't have to do it alone.

Most small local charities survive on the same thing: a handful of loyal donors, one or two fundraising events a year, and the hope that next quarter's grant comes through. They spend too much time asking for money and not enough time doing the work they exist to do.

Meanwhile, people who'd happily support them — people like you — have no easy way to find them, fund them, or know if their money made a difference.

The big national charities have entire fundraising departments. Your local youth centre has a volunteer with a spreadsheet.

What Givium does about it.

Givium pools your monthly contribution with your neighbours' and directs it to local charities in the cause you chose. We handle the finding, the vetting, the collecting, and the reporting — so the charities can focus on programs, not fundraising, and you can see exactly where your money went.

Around 90% of your contribution reaches local programs directly. Givium keeps 6.9% to run the service securely — the vetting, the pooling, the reporting back — and payment processing takes 3–4%.

"We mobilise the community. They do the work."

Four promises

Stays local

Your net contribution never leaves the community you chose. Every dollar is directed to programs serving residents in your community.

Vetted charities only

Every charity on Givium is a registered Canadian charity that has passed our eligibility review. No exceptions.

Real accountability

Twice a year, we send you a plain-language Impact Report. Real numbers. Community impact. What your money actually did.

Supporter-first

Our job is to make giving simple for you, and sustainable for the charities you support.

Mary-Ann Fuduric

Executive Director, Learning Disabilities Association of Windsor - Essex County

"Every child deserves the chance to become a confident reader, but too many families simply can't afford the extra help their child needs. The need for out-of-school literacy support continues to grow, and funding never seems to keep pace. Givium helps close that gap — turning community generosity into real opportunities for kids who might otherwise go without."

Who we are.

Givium Foundation is a Canadian organization based in Leamington, Ontario. We're independently operated — not owned by, or affiliated with, any charity, foundation, or financial institution.

In the same spirit of transparency we ask of others, we've applied to become a registered charity ourselves — which means Givium will be held to the same standard, and will be able to issue tax receipts. We expect approval in 2027.

Questions? Reach us at info@givium.com or through the Contact us page. A real person replies.

A few things people ask

Is Givium a registered charity?

Not yet — Givium Foundation has applied for registered charity status and expects approval in 2027. Once approved, we'll be able to issue tax receipts for contributions.

Can I change or cancel my contribution?

Yes, any time. You're never locked in — adjust your amount, switch causes, or pause your Contribution Plan whenever you like.

The work is already happening. The next step is easy.

One cause. One monthly contribution. We handle the rest — twice a year, we show you what it did.
