The Windsor/Essex Humane Society works tirelessly to protect animals from cruelty, providing shelter, adoption services, and medical care for unwanted pets. They often reunite lost animals with their families, foster those in need, and fight to rescue pets from neglectful situations. They truly act as the voice for animals who cannot speak for themselves.

Erie Wildlife Rescue

When a Windsor neighbour calls about a window-struck songbird or an orphaned squirrel, Erie Wildlife Rescue is who picks up the phone. Volunteer-run since 1979, they nurse native wildlife back to health and release them where they belong. A quiet, decades-long act of stewardship for the wild creatures who share our city.
