Meet the Windsor‑based organizations creating real impact, supporting neighbours, and building a stronger city for all.

Charity House of Windsor (Brentwood Recovery Home)

A Windsor staple, Brentwood has positively changed lives within its own community. It’s a place where warmth fills the room, help feels like family, and the opportunity to change is always present. The combination of support, nurturing, firmness, and clear communication is what gives Brentwood its reputation for genuine compassion.

Downtown Mission

Windsor’s Downtown Mission began in 1972 by offering coffee and donuts to a few homeless men. Today, they extend their hands to anyone who is disadvantaged or homeless by providing emergency shelter, hot meals, and food packs. Their hearts are as warm as the food they serve, and the impact on people’s lives is truly life‑changing.

Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative

Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative is a powerful example of how like‑minded people come together to strengthen and connect their neighbourhood. They are a community themselves—tired of only talking about change and committed to taking action. From Streetwalk to Community Gardens, their many initiatives leave a lasting impression.

Community Living Windsor

Well‑known throughout Windsor and Essex County, Community Living operates a number of group homes that support people with intellectual disabilities and their families. This charity dedicates immense time and effort to enhancing the lives of those they serve. Community Living works closely with each individual to ensure they receive the highest quality care.

John McGivney Children's Centre

John McGivney Children's Centre Helping abilities grow — that’s what John McGivney does, every single day. Close to 3,000 children and youth across Windsor-Essex come through their doors each year for physiotherapy, speech, occupational therapy, autism services, and family support. It’s the only pediatric rehabilitation centre in our region. Donations help families access the equipment, resources, and care that the government funding simply can’t cover.

The Windsor Symphony

Who wouldn’t love to be a Maestro? The Windsor Symphony not only creates beautiful music for the city to enjoy but also provides educational programs for youth. They teach, guide, and inspire young people so they can reach their fullest potential.

Friends of Ojibway Prairie

Tucked into west Windsor lies the most endangered ecosystem in Canada — tallgrass prairie and savannah. The Friends of Ojibway Prairie have spent decades championing its protection, and right now they’re helping make Ojibway National Urban Park a reality. More rare species call this place home than anywhere else in Ontario. Your support keeps that wild Windsor heart beating.

Welcome Centre Shelter for Women

Sometimes the best person to help a woman is a woman. The woman-centric approach at Windsor’s Welcome Centre focuses on helping each woman who walks through their door. From domestic abuse to homelessness, they devote their time to ensuring a woman and her family is fully cared for and on the path to healing.

Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation

HDGH has been quietly doing some of Windsor’s hardest, most important work since 1888 — specialized mental health, addictions, rehabilitation, and children’s mental health. When a Windsor family is facing addiction, a mental health crisis, or a long recovery, HDGH is where they turn. The Foundation funds the programs that government dollars can’t fully cover. Your gift supports recovery, healing, and dignity in the moments that matter.

Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation

When your mother needs surgery, when your neighbour is rushed to emergency, when your friend’s baby arrives a little early — they’re cared for at Windsor Regional. The Foundation makes sure the equipment, the research, and the patient care are there when our city needs them most. Every donation strengthens the place that takes care of us all.
